Malyalam actress Meera Jasmine was born on February 15, 1984 in Kuttappuzha. Pathanamthitta in Kerala.
she completed her schooling at Mar Thoma Residential School, Thiruvalla. She completed her schooling in March,2000. After that Meera enrolled for a BSC Program (Zoology) at Assumption College,Changancherry and completed nearly 3 months in this program, when she was spotted by director Lohithadas.
Meera made her debut in the Malayalam film Soothradharan in 2001 directed by Lohithadas opposite Dileep. She has starred in a dozen Malayalam films in her six-year career. Her second film was 'Gramaphone', directed by ace director Kamal, alongside Navya Nair, opposite Dileep. First superhit of Meera was Swapnakkoodu, a romantic comedy alongside Prithviraj, Kunchako Boban, Jayasurya, and Bhavana.
Meera's first Tamil film was "Run" for which She won the Filmfare Best Female debut actress award.
Meera Jasmine won the most prestigious National Film Award for Best Actress in 2004 for malayalam film "Paadam Onnu: Oru Vilapam".
